In Access 2000, how do I record date/time modified in a Table con.

I have created a Datasheet Table as a means of recording contacts with
customers, which are accessible to every member of my office already through
Access 2000.

My Question is this: how do I return a date/time of last modification for
each individal record? Ideally, I would like to have the date displayed in a
control text box in the same Table that the entries are recorded.

I have played with different macros, such as using the Set Value Action to
return the Now() Expression, but cannot get it to return anything more than
an error message.

Maetrix,

It is a bad idea to be looking at or manipulating the data directly in
the Table, whose purpose is data Storage. If you use a form, then you
can put a SetValue macro on the Before Update event of the form to get
the result you are seeking.
