Improve the error message from Access applicatons

L

locomotive

Access gives this error message:
"Error accessing file. Network connectoin may have been lost."

Microsoft's Access developers should improve on the error messages. After
spending a lot of time to investigate, I learned my Access database had
duplicate tables. When I deleted the duplicage tables, the error message
disappeared and I was able to use my Access database.

I am using Access 2000, but, the same error message was seen when I used
Access 2003 from another computer.

If Access craps out, then move to SQL Server.

Honestly-- these Access kids just blame it on the network.
They blame it on the design.
They blame it on the users.

I think that the real problem is the database. If your database craps
out-- move up the food chain.

Sorry
