I use Win2K, Service Pack 4.
A while ago I noticed that "Task Manager" window layout change its
appearance, Its upper bars were gone and I unable to select any view
options. I can see only the processes running window. The only way to close
this window is by closing it through its icon on the task bar.

Any ideas ?

It sounds like you're running Task Manager in "Small Footprint
Mode." Simply double-click anywhere along the top or side borders to
return to a normal view. Alternatively, pressing <Ctrl>+<Tab> will
allow you to cycle between the various displays, and <Alt>+<F4> will
close it.
