improper playback size/focus in WM 9

greetings,

i haven't posted in a while but i have a new issue that i
cannot seem to resolve.

i'm running xp pro w/ WM9 on an msi geForce4 4600

when i play a video, any video, the sizing is off. what i
mean is that the video plays but the focus appears to
only show the middle part of the video.

i know it's hard to visualize, but peoples heads are cut
off and feet are cut off too. i did read a KB on an ATI
issue that sounds like this but i am running an nVidia G4-
4600 by msi.

i've tried reinstalling WM9 and reinstalling video codecs
like ffdshow and xvid and video drivers to no avail...

anyone have any idea what is going on here? i'm pulling
my hair out!

r u sure that u r not zooming in on the video? if u still
cant get it to work try using mplayer2.exe. just goto
Start>>Run>>Type "mplayer2.exe". see if that does it

i am sure it is not the zoom feature. thx tho. i did try
the mplayer2.exe and that did not work either.

anyone else?
