Impossible to divide in Excell - HELP PLEASE! - doc1.doc (0/1)

Please......somtehing weird is happening in Excell

After reinstalling twice Excell 2000-pro in a new machine, my Excell
seems unable to just divide 10 by 3

Keeps telling me there is an error in formula =10/3

I´m attaching a word document with the screen image of the error.

Any clue?

BTW: It can sum & multiply without problem....i.e. =10*3 states the
correct value of 30 ( as for now.. )

maybe check 'Tools - Options - Transition' and disable transition keys

Thks Frank...

All was about Regional Settings, where the "List Separator" character
was set (by default??) as "/", therefore, making the division a two
side listing....

You always learn something new...
