Impossible delete pages on site

R

Rubens

I can edit my site using FP2000 with no problem on my PC
( Windows XP Home ). When I
Publish the site, it works fine ( all new and changed
pages are uploaded
and when I view them in IE, they look fine ).

The problem is that the pages i deleted on my PC ARE
STILL THERE, they are not deleted !!

I've used both options for publishing ( changed pages
only and all pages overwriting... ) but the pages deleted
on my PC are still present on the site.

How can I delete these pages ?

Thanks

2 ways.

1. log onto the remote web with FrontPage and delete them.

2. Log onto the Remote web and recalculate hyperlinks. Close the remote web.
Open the local web and recalculate hyperlinks.

Publish and select "Publish all."

Rubens,

You might check out the thread I started yesterday: "
FP2003 -- Publishing does not delete files on remote server"

I don't see the thread but you've (oddly enough) got to publish "changed
pages only" to do this.

The email address on this posting is a "black hole". I got tired of all the
spam.

Chris,

I'm not sure why you don't see my thread. I started it yesterday --
Saturday, July 17, 2004 6:49 PM (California time).

What I discovered with the help of Thomas, Stephan and Steve E. is that
folders and files not created from within FP (or Imported or dragged in) do
not get deleted from the remote site with "changed pages only." If you can
find the thread, you'll see the full description of the problem and
solutions.
