Importing

I am trying to import a csv or txt file into a particular group in the
address book of Outlook. In the address book, under "file" the 'import' and
'export' links are grayed out and can't be selected.

I can apparently import into contacts under the main 'outlook' 'file'
dropdown menu but this doesn't put the imported contacts in to the correct
group.

I've tried closing and reopening outlook, and closing all other programs but
it doesn't change.

Any ideas?

The Address Book is only a view of your Contacts folder. Import in your
Contacts folder, not into the Address Book.

You don't. You import the individual contacts and then you'll have to
construct the distribution list on your own.
