permissions. DOes anyone know a way round this

Many Thanks,

Get the administrator to give you permissions. I hate to sound flippant, but
that's exactly what security is meant to do.

I am the administrator and it says I do not have permission.

It gives me the same message as when you try to run the front end without
the shortcut

You have not joined the correct workgroup. The shortcut is a pointer that
allows you to work from a different workgroup than the one you have joined.
If you check the properties of the shortcut, you will see the /wrkgrp switch
and where it is pointing. If you join that workgroup using the workgroup
administrator, you won't need the shortcut to open your database.

The Workgroup file links me to the security file that was created when I
started the user groups. This is the first time I have created a user
workgroup so I am not 100% sure if it is correct. I have permissions on
everything with my user but it seems I am not the admin.

The workgroup file that appears when i click workgroup administrator says my
name but is located within Application data and not in the folder that is
targeted in the shortcut.
