Importing The Excel Sheet I choose

N

Nano

Hey

I want to import data from another Excel sheet that I choose.

I have four files with country names, "UK.xls", "US.xls",
"EU.xls","RW.xls". All files have tab with the name 'Purchase'. For
analysis purpose:

On a new sheet I want to select from a sheet name or enter a sheet
name [UK, US, EU, RW] and want Excel to import Purchase tab of
selected Excel file.

I know how to use import function but I am having issues with amending
OLE query to prompt me for the file I want to import.

Any help???

Thanks in advance,
-Nano-

Another way to do this without opening is to have formulas that refer
to the closed workbook and then just use FIND/REPLACE (or with a
macro) to edit the formulas.

Thanks for your input.

I want to import specific tab(data) from the selected file. I don't
want to open that particular file as itself. These macros have been
developed to open up a file but not for importing specific data from
the file.

Thanks in advance.
