Importing Text files into Access

I recently had a a harddrive crash and had to have a new version of Office
installed on my PC. Now, in Access, I no longer am given the option of
importing .txt files. When I try to import data into Access...it only give
me the option to import other Access database files, Windows Sharepoint
Services, or .xml files. Do I have to install some type of add-in so that
it will give me the option to install files of other types such as .txt or
..xls files?

If you did not do a custom install when install Office you won't get the
necessary import choices. Invoke the Detect/Repair choice under help when in
Access.
