Importing PST files to Outlook 2002

Hello

We are using German version of Outlook 2003 and 2000 on PCs with Swiss
German language settings. When trying to import a PST-File created in
Outlook 2003 (format Outlook 97-2002 of course!) in Outlook 2000, we
get the followin errors:

Die Eigenschaften dieses Informationsdienstes müssen vor der
Verwendung definiert werden (non official translation:The properties of
this information service must be defined prior to its use)

After klicking "OK", the following error comes up:
Die Datei "xyz.pst" ist mit dieser Version des Dienstes für
Persönliche Ordner nicht kompatibel. Wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Administator (non official translation: The file "xyz.pst" is not
compatible with this service version for personal folders. Refere to
your administrator)

You cannot import a 2003 pst to 2002. It's a different format. You have to
save the 2003 pst in the older 2002 format first.

Don't import. Use File>Open>Personal Folders File. Also, make VERY sure
you created the PST in OL2003 correctly. You can't create it straight from
the File>Export menu. If you're going to use Export, you must precreate it
with File>New>Outlook Data File>Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folder File (.pst)
and then export to it.

But DON'T EXPORT. Create your PST as above and then use drag-and-drop or
copy to move the folders from the Unicode PST to the ANSI PST. Then use
File>Open in OL 2000 to open it. And remember to have Outlook closed if at
any time you need to copy the PST from one place to another.
