About a week ago my hard drive crashed on my work laptop. My IT
department was able to save my files from my old Outlook (contacts,
calendar, e mails, etc.) but now I have no idea how to get them back
into the new Outlook installed on my new laptop! Any thoughts? Thank
you!

From a pst-file?
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

They exported your mailbox to an xml-file? What tool did they use? It is
best that you contact them for restoring your mailbox.
