I want to perform calculations on a phone bill in Excel
97. The online phone bill has minutes and seconds
displayed as mm:ss If I cut and paste these into excel it
formats them as hh:mm:ss E.g. If I paste in 15:12 it
formats it as 15 hours, 12 minutes, 0 seconds rather than
15 miutes 12 seconds. Does anyone know how I can get
around this problem?

Thanks.

Thanks. Worked a treat!

One way:

Enter 60 in a blank cell. Copy the cell. Select the times. Paste
Special, selecting the Values and Divide radio buttons.
