Hello -

I am in the process of leaving Earthlink (landline) and
am now with Optimum Online (Cable) and need to import
information (saved mail, addresses, contact lists, etc)
from Earthlink.

Frankly, I don't know how to do it and am not an MIT
Computer Science "WIZ".

I need intruction on how to do this ASAP as I have a home
based business and need to get back up and running again.

In advance, thank you to the person who responds quickly
AND ACCFURATELY.

You really should tell us what email program you were using with earthlink.
If it's OE then your address book is kept as a *.wab file and your messages
(folders) are *.dbx. Just do a search making sure to use the advances
search options for system files. Copy them and then import them. But I
believe you should just be able to change the mail servers in OE and
everything else will remain the same, I think.

If Jane was using OE, then Tools, Accounts, Mail tab, add a new account.
You will need your email address, password, and server information.
Make this account the default.
You should be able to receive email from earthlink, but not send.
After your time is up with earthlink, delete the account.
