Importing info from excel into access

I have never used Acces before, and I am in desperate need
of advice.

I have a list of over 2000 suppliers and contractors that
I need to put into an Access database. Is there anyway
that the info can be imported without having to type every
entry individually???

Cheer up, no retyping required! Create a new Access Database, go to meny
File > Get External Data > Import and follow the wizard's instructions to
import your Excel spreadsheet without any typing.

create a blank db
click file>get external data>import and follow the wizard
 
File> Get External Data>Import Follow the wizards instructions. Very
simple.
