I have a formatted ms word document from which I would like to begin
importing data into my database. Is it possible to do this or should I create
a document from scratch? How do I do this?

Formatted it how? Need a lot more information. Is your data in
tables, in a Word form? delimited somehow?

yes, it's possible, but you need to provide more information for
people to be able to help you. Can you give a short sample of your
Word document data? (with an explanation of the structure).

It can most likely be done, but the method will depend on the
complexity of the data and the layout of the Word file.

The data is in spreadsheet format on a spreadsheet that has been inserted
into the word document. It seems like this might be complicated, so I would
not have a problem with creating a new template. The template is called
"Client Info Sheet" where client information is entered, and ultimately we
would like to be able to have the information entered, such as Client Name:
AAA, Client Address: BBB import into forms in the access database. I
apologize if I'm not giving enough information, I'm very new to access and am
learning everything on my own as I go.
