I have a large Excel worksheet that I'm trying to import
into a Word document, however, the worksheet has been
scaled to 45%, due to its size. When the worksheet is
imported through to Word, it wont fit onto an A4 piece of
paper, yet in Excel it was a perfect fit.

I'm not sure whether the scaling details are carried
through to Word when it is copied but something has gone
wrong?

Does anybody have any ideas as to why it fits in Excel
and not in Word, and what I can do to rectify it?

urgent help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Louise

Hi, Louise. The maximum reduction ratio of an Excel range pasted into Word
is 69%. If you select an Excel range that needs to be shrunk more than 69%
to fit within the margins of your Word document, then Word will shrink the
selected range to 69% and truncate the rows/columns that don't fit. A
workaround to the 69% limit is to copy the Excel range in two or more pieces,
paste each piece into Word as a picture or metafile, then manually resize
each picture or metafile.
