Importing Excel table with duplicate data

I have a table in Excel which is basically a list of companies and
information, like this:

Company1 Info1
Company1 Info2
Company1 Info3
Company2 Info1
Company2 Info2
Company3 Info1
Company3 Info2
Company3 Info3
Company3 Info4

I want a table in Access to look like this:
Company1 Info1 Info2 Info3
Company2 Info1 Info2
Company3 Info1 Info2 Info3 Info4

I'm not a very experienced database designer but I can't help but think this
should be a fairly simple and straightforward operation...

If anyone can give me some pointers I would greatly appreciate it.

with all due respect you don't want a table with that layout; you want a
crosstab query

experiment / lookup crosstab - - and it will give you what you want...based
