Importing Excel Spreadsheet

Helloo...Please help before I lose my hair!!! I have an asset register that
I banged up on excel ages ago and it has just grown too big for it. I am
trying to import it into an Access database, but whenever I try, I get an
error that says "Error in loading DLL." I have tried importing it as any
number of different formats and I always get the same error message. I can
export to an Excel book fine. I am using Office 2007 Enterprise.

Thanks for your help

Crest,

I am not a guru with this stuff but while reading many of the post here,
limited to "Import", several times the "experts" suggested exporting your
spreadsheet out to a CSV file (you may have tried this). I have found that
the import wizard handles this much better than an actual xl file...

Anoter suggestion would be to import it into your database into a new table.
Let Access do what it needs to do to get the data, then use an append query
to transfer the data to your "real" table...

Finally, there may be a bit of bad data, try breaking your spreadsheet up
into several files. If a file with 10 records imports ok, you will probably
be able to narrow down where the problem is.
