Importing Excel in to PowerPoint

When I edit excel once it's in PP, it leaves dull grey lines, how do I get
rid of these without having to cut and paste again? I've tried to delet the
lines but they won't go away.
 
If you're using PPT 2003 or earlier, then try the Recolor button on the
Picture toolbar.
