I'm trying to import an excel file into word without the gridlines. I've
tried removing them in Excel options, and they go away in excel, but still
appear in word. How can this be done? Much thanks in advance!

If what you're seeing is actually a border rather than gridlines (which can
be dismissed with Table | Hide Gridlines), then make sure you don't have
gridlines checked on the Sheet tab of Page Setup in Excel.
