Importing DBase IV files

When we import DBase IV files to Access 97, we are only
able to import DBF file but not the MDX files.

Is there any suggestion ?

Isn't the MDX file just an index? Can't you just create
the indexes manually after importing the data? Especially
if there are any changes (such as date format changes) as
part of the import process you would want newly created
indexes anyway.
