Importing data to variables

Brad:

Open Excel
The click on File - Open
Find and open the tesxt file you want.
Excel will then run the import wizard that will assist you. You can change
the type of data and select the data you want from there.
 
I must be having a rough weekend or something, but if someone could
help me out with how to import a text files values into variables,
it'd be much appreciated.
