Importing Data from Access

My Access 2003 database uses data imported from the Contacts folder in
Outlook 2003. There are two problems I've been experiencing I hope to
get help with here.

First, when an email address comes into Access, the web address is
appended. For example:

(e-mail address removed)

comes in as

[email protected]#http://[email protected]

(sometimes, with longer email addresses, the appendage is truncated).

How can I avoid this?

The second problem has to do with Outlook Categories. All of the
categories assigned to a contact are entered into a single field,
separated by semicolons. At present any record can have any number of
ten categories, but of course that might grow.

I need to be able to do queries on one of those categies. I try to do
this with wildcards, typing *(Category)* into the criteria box of the
query. While this seems to return the records I need, it sometimes
returns records that don't fit the category. Is there a better way to
do a search on this field? Or is there a way to do an import in such a
way that each category comes in as its own Yes/No field?

Thanks in advance,
