Importing Audio or Music

I am in the finishing stages of a movie, and I cannot import the music that I
want. Everytime I try to import music it says, "The track D:/Track 06.cda is
not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into the Windows Movie
Maker."

Please help!

cda files are those on an audio CD.... use Windows Media Player to rip them
to your computer as WMA files.... uncheck the protection feature in WMP or
they won't be able to go into Movie Maker.

make this simple as possible for me. I'm trying to import music to Movie
Maker, so
I guess I have to "uncheck the protection feature in WMP" What is WMP and
where do I go to "uncheck it"

WMP is the Windows Media Player... if you're using WMP10

put the audio disc in the drive > opt for Rip music from CD

from the main menu use Tools > Options > Rip Music tab > check the settings
and uncheck the copy protect option if needed

Dear Papa

You the man! I have music! It took a quick download of WPM10 and your
directions. Thank you so much! I couldn't find "settings" but didn't seem to
matter.
