Importing ArchView .shp (Shape) file data

Can anyone point me in the right direction in regards tom
import/querying a ArchView .shp files vector data and so forth. Any
information would be helpful. I need to import the shape files data
into a database, with my application.

I'd suggest you check the ESRI support forms for ideas.

It's Arcview btw.

That being said...

You should be able to view the tables within the shapefile, and then export
it to dbf (if not in arcview, then in arccatalog).

From there, putting that information into a database should be easy.
