importing and exporting contacts

I'm often asked to type up contact lists for my boss,
which I do on my computer. However when I export them to
an excel file, and import them on her computer, every
single thing transfers fine except for the email address.
Any ideas why?
 
Are you both using Outlook, or are you using different e-mail programs?
