I am trying to import data from Access from Microsoft Office XP into Office
2007 and get a message that it was successful, but do not see any data.
Rather, Access stops responding. Can anyone help?

What kind of data do you want to import?

a table, a query or a wordok?

I'd like to know also. I've just upgraded to Access 2007 (finally) and have
Access 2000 tables I'd like to import into 2007. Any tricks or insights
would be heartily welcomed.

Try importing just the one table that is large or not working...

I would also suggest you consider doing a compact and repair before you try
the above.

There should not be a problem here....

You could also open the 2002 mdb file, and then go save-as-> and save in
2007 format.

either way should work....

And have you tried importing those tables?

As mentioned, we need more details, but importing access 2000, or even
access 97 data should occur without troubles....

And, you don't even have to import...you can open up the files direct with
2007.

And, you can also open up the mdb, and then do a save-as and choose 2007
format.

So, you can and should be able to import that data without trouble
So, you can and should be able to open the 2000 mdb file with access 2007
without table
So, you can and should be able to save the 2000 mdb as a 2007 accDB file
without trouble...

I am likely overlooking several other possible ways of moving data such as
making append queries.....

in a nutshell you should not experience any problems at all moving data into
2007, or even moving data out of 2007 into access 2000.

I just don't see the point of doing that, honestly. What do you get
with ACCDB that is of any use whatsoever?
