How do I import a .pst file into Outlook Express 6.0? Outlook Express only
wants to import a text file (comma delimited) and Outlook only wants to
export as a .pst file. What to do?

What sort of data are you trying to get into OE? If it's contacts Outlook
will export in CSV format. What steps did you try so far?

I'm trying to import an address book from Outlook. The person that is trying
to send it to me indicates that his only option is to create a .pst file.
When I try to import that into OE, I only have the option of importing a text
file, e.g., comma delimited. Thus, my delimma, e.g., how do I import a .pst
file into OE 6?

Outlook can export into CSV format. Have the other user try this:
Choose File menu > Import & Export
Select "Export to a File" and click Next
Select one of the Comma Separated Values formats and click Next
Select Contacts as the folder to export and click Next
Enter a file name to export to and click Next
Click the Finish button

The user doesn't have the option of a comma delimited file, only the .pst.
The only choice I have at this point is to find a way to import the address
book from it's .pst format into something that OE can read. Still looking for
an answer.

Outlook Express can't import from it if Outlook isn't on the same system.
Any chance you can install Outlook?

Unfortunately, I might have to install Outlook. Thanks for the answer. I was
afraid that O and OE were not compatible with regard to imports. That's
unfortunate.
