I would like to import some themes and templates that I
downloaded from the web. What is the proper location to
store these files, and is there an import feature I should
be using to make this happen? I am using Frontpage 2003.

Thanks!
Joe

Normally, FromtPage Themes and Templates come with an
setup program that installs them to the proper location.
That location, however, us usually

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\Webs\

for Site templates and

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\Pages

for page templates. For each template you'll need to
create a subfolder within the given location, add the
template files, and then create an .inf file. There's a
procedure for adding Web templates at:

The procedure for adding page templates is similar.

In FP2003 the folders have changed:

Prior Version themes were typically installed in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Themes
FrontPage 2003 default themes are now installed in the folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\THEMES11
User Custom themes are stored in the folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Themes
Typically that would be found in the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\Themes

- Custom themes should be installed in the User Custom Themes folder

Templates were typically installed in the respective template location folders (Page, Web , Frames) in:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033
In FrontPage 2003 the folders are (Page11, Web11, Frames11)
Custom Templates are similarly located in the respective template location folders (Page, Web , Frames) in:
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage
Typically that would be found in the folders under:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage

- Custom templates should be installed in the User Custom Template folders (Page, Web ,
Frames)
