I have been working diligently for the past few months trying different
things from different technical support agencies, but all to no avail so far.
My issue: several of my documents (poems, stories, a journal, etc.) that i
have been working on, some for more than 4 years now, are gone, one day
everything is fine, i go and add something to a 44 page document, then next
time i open it, it is replace with this: vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl

and this is pretty much what all of my lost documents look like now, i had
my best poems, and some of my favorite stories and plays that i had written
on this computer, and i did back them up on a floppy disk, the problem with
that is, the floppy disk had been broken while i was moving to a new
location, it fell on the ground and was broken, exposing the film, then i put
a note on it for no one to touch it and i would try to repair it by taking it
in to the computer store in that area, unfortunately, no one touched it but
they spilled coffee on it, so the film not only melted, but it was too warped
and just completely unrepairable, so i threw it out. now i thought that since
i had a second hard drive put in i could save it there as well. guess what,
it didn't work, that hard drive as well has the same corruption on it, but it
was removed from my system, and sealed in a static sensitive envelope that my
new hard drive came in. so now i have it on 3 hard drives, but it still does
me no good. some one please help me, even if i have to have remote
assistance, i called some data recovery companies and they told me it would
be about $400 at least, and that was IF they could recover it, but i can't
just go and spend $145 for them to tell me wether or not they can get my
documents back, let alone $400+ to get it back, so if anyone can help me, i
am desperate, and in dire need as these documents are my life, if i can get
them back i will start saving them on floppies, cdrw's, zip drives, memory
cards, jump drives, and paper, and i will email myself the documents so i can
have as many copies as possible, the only problem is getting them
back...somebody please help me before i make my computer into nothing more
than an expensive cd player (in other words dumping everything including a
possible future as a novelist, playwright, whatever i do plan on becoming
famous, and hopefully for something good instead of just winning the lotto)
things from different technical support agencies, but all to no avail so far.
