import vista mail

I have been using "Windows Mail" under Vista, but would like to switch to
Outlook 2007. I have been able to import my contacts, but not email messages.
No error message, it just does not import them. Any ideas?

I see now that exporting from windows mail to 'exchange' actually exports to
a separate folder in outlook.
