I have created a logo in Publisher which includes text and picture. I need
to import it into a text box in word. Word will not allow me to cut and
paste. I have two probelms 1. How do I import if I can't cut and paste ? 2.
How do I get my logo to fit the exact size of the predetermined text box.

Many thanks in anticipation

Publisher is not the best tool to create logos for use in Word. the best you
may be able to achieve is to Save As jpg from Publisher then crop the image
in a graphics application and insert it into Word.

You know, JoAnn, Publisher 97 had a logo maker wizard. The logos weren't the
greatest, but you could create them. I remember a lot of folks used this wizard.
Today in the Design Gallery there are several logo templates. If all you have is
Publisher...

I never worked with Pub 97. 2000 was my earliest. I'd still rather use some
sort of a graphics program, mostly because I'd want to be able to save them
into some standard format to insert into anything I created. But like I
said - that's just my preference.

Thanks

Can you recommend garphics programme for future. I used one of the
templates in publisher design gallery.

Thanks

Thats what I used, the problem was how to import into a word textbox.

Graham's advice worked but it sounds like a graphics package is the way
forward.

I use Photoshop Elements and like that. It also gives me the option of being
able to open Photoshop files, which has come in handy now and then. I create
newsletter and handbooks for the nonprofit group I belong to. Some of the
businesses that advertise send me Photoshop files without asking me if I can
open them first. I don't need a $600 program to do what I need so PE works
quite nicely.

Note that you can select just the image and save it as a JPEG (as opposed to
the whole page).
