I have a new pc and wish to import all aspects (i.e. emails, attachments,
addresses and contacts) from Outlook on my old pc to Outlook on my new pc.

The HDD of my old pc is now in an external data case and connected to my new
pc via USB and functions well.

Outlooks Import/Export does not allow me (as far as I can see) to simply
import from another instance of Outlook from another drive. It seems to
require me to export from first and then import into the new instance of
Outlook which I'm unable to do.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks, John

Search the old HDD for a file called *.pst - when you have found it you can
do one of two things: Either open it directly from the old HDD or copy it to
your new HDD and open it from there. In either case, in Outlook, go to
File-Open-Outlook Data File and navigate to where you decide to open it
from.
You can then choose to use it as the default delivery location for mail by
going to Tools-Email Accounts, clicking on the "Next" button and choosing it
in the drop down box at the bottom.
