import dbf tables

hi,

i am trying to import a dbf table from alpha 5. most tables will import ok,
but some tables i am getting an error which says 'search key can not be
found'.

does anyone what the cause might be.

there seems to be no difference in the tables being imported, they all have
an id field which is the same data type and length.

are you letting Access add/create a primary key? it is one of the
options.... if you are not - then try this option....

hi,

thanks for your help. i was just importing an enitre table not just
records. i checked the structure of the dbf and it indexes and compared
against a table which would import and could see no obvious difference.

anyway, rather than import, i exported from alpha 5 in to access and it
worked just fine. i checked and used the data and no probelms at all.
