Import data from another table

I am wondering how to import data from one table into another. Common to
both tables is a policy number. I need to import an Agent name from one table
to a customer table. The desired end result will be to have one table to use
to output data to an Excel SS in CSV format to have available to imput into
another companies propietary database (unknown format).

If it would be better to somehow do this by a query using data from both
tables I can likely figure that out, but am wondering if the query can then
be reliably exported to Excel.

A query can be exported to Excel. In fact it often does a better job as you
can format things like dates, number formats, and currency in the query so
that it shows up right in Excel.
