import .adr files

steve L.

Before leaving an old job, I exported my contacts list
into a comma separated file (which gave me an .adr
extension). How do I import this into Outlook 2002?

Thanks...

If it is actually a text CSV file - just rename the file using a CSV
extension (you should be able to open it up using any text editor like
Notepad just to be sure it's a simple text file).

Thanks for the reply. It's not a simple text file. Any
other ideas?

Thanks...

Am not familar with what an ADR file structure is or what creates them other
then some references I've seen to it related to Opera and Atari-Portfolio.
You may want to check out the site below which has a utility to convert ADR
to CSV and maybe it'll work for you - you would then be able to import the
resulting CSV file into Outlook. Beyond that - it's getting it back into
whatever created it and seeing if it can export the info into a more
mainstream file format.

URL for the ulility is:
http://www.atari-portfolio.co.uk/library/pages/ta-utils.html (it's about
midway down the page)
