import a large ammount of records into access 2002

I am trying to import about 240M of text records into a DB
created in Access 2000, using Access 2002. When I do I
get an error that says to the effect that I am out of Disk
space. I have updated my MDACs and Jet 4.0 drivers but
continue to get the error. Anyone who has seen this
problem please help. Thanks
David D.
 
It's possible that the database must be compacted or that you are really out
of Disk space.

Also, Access 2000/2 use the Unicode format for text records, doubling the
required size. Retry after setting the Unicode compression option for your
text fields.
