I would like to use an absolute path for my image souces.
This will solve many problems for me as we move pages
around to different webs and the structure is not always
the same.

Does anyone know of a downside to doing this.

The main down side is that FP will not manage any absolute URL, so if you
move the images or rename them you will have to manually update your pages.

If you create or uses the images folder and have one in all web, then
relative URLs should work just fine for you.
