IMF, SPAM not the junk folder

hi,

some SPAM seemed surprisingly not to be correctly sorted and stay in the
inbox. to check that, I added the SCL column and those mail are SLC
tagged 8. the SPAM limit is set to 3 on my IMF and in OL the SPAM check
is to the max.

what can be wrong ?

OL2K3/SP2, Exch2K3/SP2, IMFv2

IMF is a part of Exchange and the nice folks over in the Exchange news
groups will be able to handle that one.

1. You need to check if the Junk Email Folder is enabled and not if IMF is
enabled. I am here talking of the settings available through OWA (as
described in the article) and not the settings at the Exchange System
Manager.

2. The fact that many are being caught might mean that you have the Outlook
client side filter catching most spam.

yes, I did what's described in the article. I just typed the answer too
fast ;) it should had read "junk mail folder for IMF is enabled" instead
of "IMF is enabled"

yes but no. I used to check what spam has been caught using OWA before
running Outlook. and just to be sure, I now disabled OL anti-spam
feature, leaving only IMF do the job. and the problem is still there :/

Hemmm. So basically you are seeing the SCL being assigned to 8 and it is not
moving to Junk despite it is enabled.

Can you isolate this to a few mailboxes or is it a general problem?

If yes try to disable any mailbox rules if any are configured.
Is there any other software that might be processing emails automatically?
