IMAP Sent Items

Guest

I have Outlook configured to access my email accounts using IMAP. When I
send email using Outlook, it does not store the sent email in the Sent Items
folder on the server. Rather, it saves the copy in the Personal Folders on
local client. To me, this defeats one of the purposes of using IMAP.

Is there any way to configure Outlook 2002 so that it will put a copy of
sent emails in the Sent Items folder on the email server? Whether or not it
also places a copy locally is unimportant to me. Getting it to put a copy in
the Sent Items folder on the server is the most important aspect.

Thank you.

Sure. Create a rule that copies each sent message to the IMAP folder of
your choice.

With IMAP and this rule, you will get a copy in both places.
