Ok here is the error i'm getting.

The host '(e-mail address removed)' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Hey', Account: '(e-mail address removed)', Server:
'(e-mail address removed)', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 11003, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

when i am trying to send an email. It is a new Personal laptop. How can is
fix this problem. Plus i know when i set up the account i am not sure what
IMAP server in and out name i should of put.

Where did you get that (e-mail address removed) email address?
Unless you are employed by Microsoft, you are not authorized to use it.

Did you previously have a different email address? If so, what is the part
after the @ symbol? You can only set up an account in Windows Mail
using an email address that you are duly authorized to use.

Who provides your Internet connection?

It just accepted that email address. and yes i have a different email adress
that i could use. How do i change that.

My internet connection is wireless route off of my roommates connection.
Which she has a local DSP dial up connection.

To set up an account in WM, go to tools menu>accounts>add.

To do that you will need to know the mail providers server names, if you do
not know what they are then tell us the bit after the @ in your email
address.

US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access.
Windows Mail handles POP mail but not Yahoo webmail.
Yahoo's solution is to pay Yahoo for premium "Mail Plus" service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/overview/index.html
and use the special settings for that service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

If you are OK with using a non-Yahoo email address, you have these other
solutions that will work with Windows Mail:
Use a free Gmail, AOL, or Hotmail/Live account.
If you need more help with any of these solutions, just ask.
