Images on Outlook only download as .bmp

Why can I not save images from emails received by me in Outlook 2003 as
anything but .bmp? When I right click to save, it only gives me a 'save
picture as' .bmp option, even animated gif's.
In Outlook express I have no problem saving images in it's original format
but in Outlook 2003 it's impossible.

Lexxii,
Control Panel> Internet Options> General tab> Delete temp files> Check box to
include offline content. Then wait to the process completes. You should be able
to receive other than *.BMP image files.
