Image transparency between different versions of PowerPoint

Luca

Hi,

Images to which I applied the transparency tool in PPT
2003 are no longer transparent in previous versions of
PPT. Is there a way to use the transparency tool in 2003
and not have to use the transparency tool in a previous
version? Thanks for the help.

Hi Luca,

which file format are you using? I encountered this problem also and found
out that PNG images worked better for me than JPG. If you don't have an
image processing program, you can at least cut the image in PPT 2003 and
reinsert it using Paste Special, choosing PNG format.

Kind regards,
Ute

PPT XP and 2003 offer variable transparency for box fills, lines and
dropshadows. Early versions do not support the variable (any percentage
between 0-100%) and will not be able to reproduce same effect.

Best option is to create elements externally as .png images
(http://www.tlccreative.com/tutorials/Power_of_Ping.pdf) and import into
PPT. These will remain the same in any version.
