Is there any possible way to display a slideshow of images on only ONE slide?
I have tried >Insert>Picture>New Photo Album, and all it seems to do is
place every single image for a slide. I am trying to achieve a function
where only one slide is implemented and many images are
displayed...preferably a fade-in, fade-out type deal. Thanks!

You can add the images to the one slide and use custom animations to achieve
the effects that you want.
Hope this helps!!!

Click Insert > Pictures > From File...
Then, hold down left click, drag it to highlight the files.
Alternately, you can hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and select the
pictures you want to insert.

I believe you are using PowerPoint 2002/XP and above. To have a picture
slideshow on a single slide, you can use Entrance effect (Fade) and Exit
effect(fade).

Add entrance effect (fade) to the picture. Set it to "After Previous".
Add exit effect (Fade) to the picture. Set it to "After Previous". Right
click on the exit effect and click Timing. Set the delay to about 2 seconds
so that the picture will remain on the slide for 2 seconds before it fade out.
Repeat the steps for all the pictures.

Does this help?
