I searched the internet, there are a few suggestions from
changing setting to editing registry. None of them work.
Basically, everytime I launch or refresh IE, some images
are not displayed, including .gif or unidentified type
(e.g. go to yahoo and look at the stock chart). My
registry has entry supporting .gif. The problem will go
away if I change Western European (ISO) to anything else
under View/Encoding. But it will default back to ISO when
I relauch or refresh.
I want to complete delete the Western European (ISO)
option from the menu. That seems to be the only plausible
solution to me. I am using Windows 98. Thanks
