My problem is on a hyperlink (pointing to a .jpg image file) within Excel. Upon clicking that hyperlink, Excel calls Microsoft Photo Editor, regardless of whatever my default image handler is at the OS level. I would like Excel to call Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Is there any way to change this? Thanks

Function: HYPERLINK(C:\path\picture.jpg)
App: Excel 2003
OS: Win XP

I think your best bet is to uninstall the MS Photo Editor using your
Office installation disk or Add/Remove programs. (unless you acually
_USE_ it!)

The setup program will detect your Office installation and go into
maintenance mode automatically. Select 'Add/Remove Office components'
and de-select MS Photo Editor. It may take some hunting to find it!
It may be under Office Tools, or even under MS Word or MS Excel.

From your post, it sounds like you have the program you want to use
already configured in the OS.

Good Luck!
