Image Difference Engine - unauthorized operation

I'm using the Difference Engine for the first time today.

I've got my source & target drives set up as network shares named X: & N:
repectively. I get the following errors during this process

Loading source directory x: information...
Warning: Access violation reading directory "x:"> Attempted to perform an
unauthorized operation. Marking it as Exclude.
Loading target directory n: information...
Warning: Access violation reading directory "n:"> Attempted to perform an
unauthorized operation. Marking it as Exclude.

The network folders appear to have required read/write permissions, so what
else is the error relating to?

Please Advise.
