My brother in law when using word types in his sons name and Word
automatically inputs a picture of his son. He does want this but we cannot
work out how to get rid of it. We assume his son has changed some settings
but cannot work out which as his sons claims to know nothing about it. Any
ideas how to get Word back to normal?

He does want this but we cannot work out how to get rid of it.

Pardon me if I find this confusing... he wants it, but he doesn't want it?

However, given the description, it sounds like an AutoCorrect entry was
created, and his son's picture is associated with the AutoCorrect entry.

To get rid of it... If you're using Word 12, click the Office button, Word
Options, Proofing tab, AutoCorrect Options, AutoCorrect tab. In the list at
the bottom, click on the son's name, then click Delete.

That will get rid of it.

If you really do want it, but want more control, one suggestion would be to
use an AutoText entry instead of an AutoCorrect entry. Another option would
be to use a variation of the son's name, such as davepicture (e.g., if his
name is dave) rather than a normal occurrence of the son's name.

If you're using Word 2003 or earlier, choose Tools - AutoCorrect Options,
etc.

Thank you for your help.
Sorry it was a typo. He doesn't want the picture to appear so I'll try your
advice.
Many Thanks
