IM only, no voice, video, etc

The only functionality I have with windows messenger 4.7
is messaging. Can't connect to the other computer for
voice, video, file transfer etc.
Have XP / SP2 both ends. Tried with firewalls off, no
routers. ISP says they don't block messenger services
files or connections.

You might want to try MSN 6.2 Messenger and see if that helps. If not try a
program called IM2 and set it up using MSN config. Don't feel alone as there
are a lot of people having problems with MSN and ISPs not telling the truth.
Keep trying and you will get something to work maybe.

You should not have to disable your firewalls. Follow
these instructions to allow Windows Messenger to bypass
the firewall.
